The vision
The planning of the new Adult Mental Health and Addictions facility, which will service our clients for many years, gives us the opportunity to consider the future direction of the Mental Health and Addictions Program at Eastern Health. In keeping with the organization’s vision of Healthy People, Healthy Communities, the mental health and addictions team has developed the following vision for our program:
Mental wellness for everyone:
Mental health services whenever and wherever you need them.
This vision represents what we were all working so hard to achieve: a beacon, a guiding light that resonates with clients, families, staff and community partners.
Our new state-of-the-art facility is designed to optimize natural light, includes five outdoor terraces with green spaces, varied artwork, warm color palettes and home-like furniture – all intended to create a holistic and welcoming environment conducive to recovery. The new facility, in addition to a community-oriented service model including new programs and services, will assist in achieving this vision.
